TYLER, Texas (KETK) - The State of Utah is serving up the American Bullfrog on a silver platter but in Texas, where frog "gigging" is more popular, the laws are more strict. In Utah, the American Bullfrog is an invasive species and Utahns can hunt as many bullfrogs as they can eat, according to KTVX. Utah's Division of Wildlife Resources even lists its own "breaded bullfrog legs" recipe. Texas is a different story for the amphibians, though.Bullfrogs are native to parts of Texas, but are considered invasive in much of the western U.S. and several other continents. "It is a significant predator on anything it can get in its mouth," said former UT Tyler professor and internationally recognized herpetologist, Dr. Neil Ford. "In the west, those prey have not evolved with the bullfrog, so [they] have no defense. In addition, no predators on bullfrogs occur in those states. Bullfrogs also have a high reproductive rate."In Texas, bullfrogs are hunted for their legs, which are usually served...Class A state hockey: Mahtomedi rallies late, tops Warroad in double overtime for state title

Jonny Grove collected the loose rebound, calmly maneuvered across the face of the Warroad netminder and buried the goal that ended top-seeded Warroad’s undefeated season and handed the Zephyrs their second Class A state title in four years.Mahtomedi rallied from three separate two-goal deficits to down the top-seeded Warriors 6-5 in double overtime on Saturday at Xcel Energy Center.Grove was the walk-off hero, but the third-seeded Zephyrs were only in that position because of Charlie Drage’s excellence. The senior forward — who netted the winner in the final minute of Mahtomedi’s semifinal win over Hermantown — scored thrice in the third period. The last of the three goals was a snipe from the point to knot the contest with 1 minute, 20 seconds to play.Related ArticlesHigh School Sports | Class 2A state boys hockey semifinal: Minnetonka takes down Andover to set up Lake Conference final High School Sports | Class 2A state boys hockey semi...Check out the 2023 Minnesota girls high school state basketball tournament brackets

Kuminga was ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks after twisting his ankle on a drive to the basket during pregame warmups in Memphis on Thursday. The Bucks won’t be at full strength either, with two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo slated to sit out his third straight game with a soreness in his right hand. Kuminga, 20, limped off the FedExForum court after suffering a similar injury as Kevin Durant, who just one night prior sprained his left ankle in warmups after it buckled beneath him as he went for a layup.Kuminga’s X-rays came back negative Thursday, but Kuminga was spotted in the locker room post-game in Memphis wearing a walking boot to help stabilize and minimize swelling in the injured ankle. Before Saturday’s game, coach Steve Kerr is expected to provide an update on Kuminga, who missed 10 games in January with...Video: rescues underway after Pajaro Levee breaks overnight
